Installing Wii U Pro Controllers
If you would look up on the internet, you will find many ways to connect these controllers to your PC. But, most of the methods are quite long-drawn and often tend to fail as users are not able to follow the process. They also require you to install the controllers first before you can use the controllers. The good news is that using the Bluetooth connection you can spare yourself the frustration that often accompanies these hectic methods. You do not need to install the Controllers anymore.
We have simplified the methods and laid them down here. If you have Windows 10 or 8, the first things you need include WiinUSoft 2.1 and Hotfix. Look up for them on the web and download them on your computer. In case you are using Windows 7, you will need Bluetooth Stack. Again, look up on the search engine and download it. You will also need VJoy to configure the controller.
Disable Driver Detection for Windows 7
This you need to do when the computer is booting up. Turn your computer on (or restart it if it is already booted) and when you see the first boot screen press F8 (keep pressing F8 continuously on the initial screen to ensure you don’t miss it). Now you should see the boot options and another option called ‘Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.’ Select this option and press Enter. You should be able to see Settings from where you can go to PC Settings and then General. Go to ‘Advanced Startup’ and it will prompt you to restart the PC. Once the PC restarts, disable Driver Signature Enforcement by pressing the F7 button on the Startup Settings section. Now you need to remove the existing Bluetooth drivers and install Bluetooth Stack. You don’t need to do this on Windows 8 or 10.

Setting up Bluetooth
In case your computer does not have an internal Bluetooth hardware, use an external source of Bluetooth, maybe a dongle. You can then launch Device Manager on your PC (press Windows + R keys; type in “devmgmt.msc” and press Enter to open Device Manager). Go to ‘Properties’ from ‘This Pc’. Click on Change Settings followed by Hardware. Get to device installation device and click on the option ‘Never Install’. Save the changes. Click on Bluetooth and expand it. Choose properties. Select the option ‘Hardware Id’ and right click the second choice and click ‘Copy’. Open a notepad and paste it there. Uninstall the Bluetooth device from the device manager and confirm your action.
Installing Bluetooth Stack
Extract Bluetooth stack from Options. Once you find it, open and run the file. This will install Bluetooth. It may take some time. Once the installation is complete, the Bluetooth icon should be visible in the System Tray. You can then restart Windows. If you don’t see it in the System Tray, follow the installation process again.
Plugging Bluetooth Device
You may still be requested to plug in your Bluetooth device. You can browse the Bluetooth stack from your local OS Drive (usually C drive) and copy it and paste it on the desktop where you can easily access it. You can change the device name. Make sure you save it. The file should now be copied to its original location. Go to ‘Install The Driver Software For Bluetooth.’ Once it is done, Bluetooth icon will be visible in the icon tray.
Assuming you have already downloaded Vjoy, navigate to the folder where it is saved. Run the Setup file to install the application. Agree to the terms and allow the app to be verified. Once the installation is successful, restart your PC once more.
While at the Bluetooth option, look into its settings. Turn Bluetooth on and a notification will be received that your computer is searching for a device. On your Wii U Pro controller, look for the red button. The sync button is usually on the back of the controller. Press the red button and your PC will display a notification about the pairing. To keep connected, press and hold the button.
Once you click on the pair button, you will be asked for a PIN. Do not type in anything but instead click on Next. The pairing process is initiated and the PC and the controller will be connected. This will be enabled by the Bluetooth software. Once the connection is complete, install Wiin U Pro and run it. By now you should be confident that the process is over. However, it is necessary to be safe. Get to the controller configuration settings where you will find the VJoy device. Test the Pro Controller by following the instructions.
