Kik Sign-In On Mobiles and Tablets

Kik is a mobile device so it goes without saying that one of the easiest and most common ways to log in to this app is through the mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. But, what makes Kik even more amazing is the fact that it offers cross-platform compatibility and is available on Android as well as iOS devices (It is also available on Windows mobile platform.) This means if you happen to be an iOS user with Kik, you can share messages with the Android users too.

Getting Kik on your mobile devices is pretty easy since it is listed on the official app stores including Google Play Store and Android App Store.
If you happen to be an iOS user, you could use Kik on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The app works on the latest as well as older iOS versions including iOS 10, 9, 8, and 7. This is pretty cool as this makes it available for a wide range of iOS devices.
IOS users can access App Store and type in Kik in the search box. The app will appear in the search results. Now, all you need to do is tap the icon and follow the onscreen instructions to install it.
In the similar fashion, Android users can get Kik from Google Play Store. In both the cases, the installation process is pretty straightforward.
What you need to make sure is that the device on which you are installing the app is connected to the internet. The internet connection could be from your mobile service provider or it could be Wi-Fi. You must also remain connected to the internet in order to exchange messages.
Once you have downloaded the application you will need to register and create an account (if you are using it for the first time). The registration process is also quite easy. You just need to tap ‘Register’ on the home screen and follow the onscreen instructions. You will also create the Kik login credentials, including a unique username and password, during the registration process. You can also set a profile picture if, you like.

Kik Login From PC and Mac

Before we proceed, we would like to clarify one thing. Kik hasn’t launched an official desktop client yet and thus this app is not available officially for PC and Mac. But, that’s nothing to be concerned about as you can still enjoy this app on your PC. We have an effective and functional workaround for you.

The workaround we are going to talk about is completely safe. It does not require you to make any internal changes to your operating system. We (and many others) have tested the process extensively.
This method involves the use of an Android emulator on Windows or Mac. An Android Emulator is a software which imitates or emulates the Android environment right on your computer operating system, thereby allowing you access to the vast ecosystem of this platform. The emulators are also sometimes referred to as ‘App Players’ as they let you download and run the Android apps on the computer.  Since Kik is an Android compatible app, you can run it through an emulator.
The emulators we recommend are totally safe and stable. They are lightweight and do not consume much of your system resources. The two emulators that we have tried, tested and loved are:

  1. BlueStacks (
  2. Nox App Player (

You can download any one of the following tools to install and use Kik on your computer.
So, depending upon the type of computer you are using (Windows or Mac),  download the emulator installer file from its website. Of course, you need to choose the right version for your OS.
Now run the installer file and install the emulator on your computer. Once installed, launch it. You will notice that it asks for the Google sign-in to proceed. This is exactly what you have to do when you buy a brand new Android phone or reset an old one.
So, sign in with the Google ID. If you want to use an existing ID, log in with it. You can also create a new ID.
Once signed in, you will see the search box. Click on it and type in ‘Kik’ (without quotes). The emulator will look up for Google Play Store and list it in the search result. Click the icon to install it on your computer.
Once the installation is complete, run the app. Tap ‘Register’ to create a new account or ‘Login’ to sign in with your existing username and password.

Kik Login On Other Devices

There are some other devices on which you can sign into Kik. Most Smart TVs function on the Android platform. Kik, being an Android-compatible app, is available on the Smart TVs.
If you are using a Smart TV, we would recommend you to attach a mouse and keyboard to it. Navigating and interacting with the app from the remote controller could be challenging.
There are other Android devices as well, such as Kindle, on which you can get Kik. You don’t need an external APK file for it. Kik is available on Amazon Store as well.
